How to choose the length of a bracelet
Share
To determine the length of a bracelet, you must first know the circumference of your wrist. In order to measure your wrist circumference, take a seamstress's measuring tape. Wrap it around your wrist where you usually wear your bracelets without tightening it too much. Note the measurement (e.g. 6 inches around the wrist). Add between 0.5 and 0.75 inches to your measurement to determine the length of bracelet you need (e.g. the length of bracelet I will then need is 6.5 inches to 6.75 inches). You can also measure your wrist circumference by sliding a finger under the tape, you can then choose the desired degree of comfort for your bracelet.
For a “close to the wrist” bracelet: add 0.5 inch to your measurement.
For a “loose” fit: add 0.75 to 1 inch to your measurement.
It is important to take into consideration that a wide bracelet will require a more flexible fit since the shape of the arm increases from the wrist to the elbow. With this information, you will be able to choose your bracelet length with complete peace of mind!
