Comment choisir la grandeur d'une bague

How to choose a ring size

You have fallen in love with one of our Pier Joaillerie rings but you are hesitant because you don't know the size of your finger? I have the solution to help you measure the size of ring you need and all this without any hassle!

Indeed, before ordering a ring, if you are hesitant about the precise ring size to choose, you can obtain a small plastic ring sizer via our website allowing you to take, from home, the size of the finger on which you wish to wear the ring to order? Here is the link to the measuring accessory: https://bijouterielepage.com/produit/outil-de-mesure-de-grandeur-de-bague/

This handy and affordable little tool, sold on our store for $5.00 + tax and shipped free of charge anywhere in Canada, will help you select the ideal size for you. So whether you need a ring size 6, 7, 8 or 8.5, you will now be able to accurately determine your ideal ring size!

Have I piqued your curiosity with my super handy little accessory? Here's how you can use it:

To begin, insert the ring sizer band inside the small slot, making sure that the numbers are visible on the outside. Once this assembly step is done, you can now insert the plastic ring sizer onto the finger whose size you would like to know. When the edge of the ring sizer is directly on the line corresponding to a size (for example directly on 6), this means that the ring sizer is at that precise size. If the edge of the ring sizer is on the line between two sizes (for example between 6 and 7), this means that the ring sizer is 6.5. By proceeding by trial and error, you will be able to determine your ideal ring size for each of your fingers, without worrying about the tool getting stuck.

It is important to think about the following elements when taking your measurement. First, if your fingers swell during the day, you must take this into account when choosing your size. Also, to avoid ending up with a ring that is too big, make sure that the size you choose will have a slight resistance at the joint. This way, you will not risk losing your ring when your fingers are cold or if you wash your hands! Also, do not forget that a ring that is too tight can be very annoying and that a bulge effect on each side is rather unsightly, so find a happy medium in your choice of size 😉 Finally, if the ring you want to buy is very wide, you can select a slightly larger size since the surface of the ring in contact with your finger will also be larger, so with 1/4 to 1/2 point larger, you will be assured of the comfort of your ring when you wear it!

There is also a way to measure the size of your finger based on a ring that you already wear. Indeed, by measuring the inner diameter of your ring in millimeters and based on the size chart provided below, you will be able to validate what the size of your jewelry is. Ex.: A diameter of 17mm measured gives a ring size of 6 ¾.

However, this way of doing things is less accurate and more risky of choosing the wrong size due to a misreading of the diameter, so it is important to be vigilant.

With this information, you can now choose the ring size you want without too much hassle! However, if you still have doubts, don't forget that you can always go to a jewelry store and have your finger size measured!
